

Laryngeal cancer is a disease in which cancer cells form in the tissues of the larynx (voice box). Most laryngeal cancer is found in smokers. Smoking is one of the most certain causes for laryngeal cancer. If you are a smoker, it is crucial to quit immediately. Just like in any other cancers, the best way to treat laryngeal cancer is early diagnosis.

There are 3 types of standard treatment for patients with laryngeal cancer.
- Radiation therapy : uses high-energy x-rays or other types of radiation to kill cancer cells.
- Surgery : removes all parts where cancer has developed.
- Chemotherapy : uses drugs to kill cancer cells.
