Laryngeal cancer is a disease in which cancer cells form in the tissues of the larynx (voice box). Most laryngeal cancer is found in smokers. There are 3 types of standard treatment for patients with laryngeal cancer.
- Radiation therapy : uses high-energy x-rays or other types of radiation to kill cancer cells.
- Surgery : removes all parts where cancer has developed.
- Chemotherapy : uses drugs to kill cancer cells.
