Instructions before surgery

1. Cold symptoms patient won’t allow having the operation.
2. Any medication you’re taking currently, please notify your consultant (Female hormone medication need to be stopped 7 days before the surgery).
3. Have your dinner finished by 8 pm the day before the operation’s schedule, and do not eat or drink anything from midnight (12:00am)
4. It is required to have no food on the day of your surgery. Do not wear any accessories and contact lenses. Please remove all nail paints and denture when you visit clinic. (Remove all acrylics nails completely.)

Instructions after surgery

1. In order to settle the injected substance inside the vocal cords, do not speak for 2 days after the procedure.
2. Throat could feel burning for 2~3 hours after the injection, this happens temporarily and will soon recover. However, if the pain is serious, take a Tylenol with the medication that is prescribed.
3. You can start using your normal voice for simple talks, but avoid loud and long talking for 2 weeks.
4. You can have water or liquid after 2 hours of the injection, and you can have regular meal from the next day of the injection. However, do not drink coffee, black tea, or green tea which contains caffeine, because it can make you thirsty
5. When you cough, cough with your mouth open.
6. Avoid lifting heavy things or stressing you neck for 3 weeks after treatment.
7. Singing is allowed from 12 weeks after injection.
8. Try not to catch a cold. If symptoms of a cold how, call your nurse or desk employees.
